INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating after a man is shot and killed on the city’s east side.
Just after 10 p.m.on April 13, 2017, officers with the IMPD were dispatched the Shadeland Inn in the 3500 block Shadeland Ave on reports of person shot. Responding officers located an unresponsive male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a hotel room. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead on-scene. Officers immediately began checking the area and separating witnesses.
Homicide detectives responded and began interviewing witnesses. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The name of the victim can be obtained through the Marion County Coroner’s Office after proper identification and next-of-kin notification has been made.
