Several low pressure systems will bring rain chances to central Indiana this week.
The most widespread rain will be Wednesday night into Thursday morning when locally heavy rain exceeding an inch will be possible.
It will also be windy Wednesday night and Thursday with gusts to 45 mph possible.
Finally, above normal temperatures will continue into Thursday.
INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST
Today: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a west wind 13 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 6 to 9 mph becoming north after midnight.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night: Showers before 1am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 4am, then showers after 4am. Low around 47. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 10am, then showers likely between 10am and 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 58. Windy, with a west southwest wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42.
Friday Night: A chance of rain showers before 1am, then a slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 48.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.
