Indy Pie Wars brings together the yumminess of pie with the benefit of helping kids. The greater Indianapolis social media community is getting together for a pie smack down on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Amateur bakers from Noblesville to Greenwood will be bringing their best to Brugge Brasserie to compete for the coveted “Pie Maker Jedi” award. All proceeds from the event will be donated to School On Wheels, to help provide tutoring and advocacy for school-aged kids impacted by homelessness.

2. Participant – Don’t want to be judged? Not problem. Simply bring a pie (homemade or store bought). Pieces of pie will be sold for $5 a piece to raise funds for School On Wheels.
3. Attendee – Just enjoy eating pie? Who doesn’t? Pay a $5 attendance fee and then come enjoy a great selection of pies for $5 per slice. Your attendance fee will be donated to School On Wheels.
Help School On Wheels

I will not be submitting pies in the nut and berry categories tomorrow. The original info I printed out stated that I was to bring them for judging to Brugge on Monday night (Jun 27)-tonight between 5:30 and 6.I did so and they didn’t know anything about this and then called someone who said not to bring them til tomorrow. I won’t enter 2 day old pies in any contest. I’m really disappointed. Diane Childers

Diane:
I hope you’ll bring the pies to share for the charity. This event is all about fun and kids. Sorry that there was some mis-information floating around about when & where to drop the pies off.
Please….bring yourself and your lovely pies. They’ll be adored and appreciated. I promise.

I second what Joe said. I am very sorry about any confusion and would like to know where you found a mention of the 27th as the event date so we can be sure to rectify that, I am so sorry for any trouble, but do hope to see you and your pies tomorrow for lots of fun.
