Hearthside Suppers
Ever wondered what people ate for dinner in the early 19th century? Or how they cooked that meal? Discover those answers firsthand when you and your family join in preparing, serving and enjoying a candlelight feast straight from the pages of a 19th-century cookbook in the historic Conner House.
This year’s new menu includes popcorn, pounded cheese, water wafers, cider, pumpkin soup, beef alamode with roasted root vegetables, chicken and homemade noodles, pickled red cabbage, brandied pears, bread and butter pickles, and Roly Poly (a 19th century “pudding” with sweetened dough and fruit preserves).
Recommended for ages 10-adult.
Fridays-Sundays in January, Thursdays-Sundays in February and Wednesdays-Sundays in March; 6-9 p.m. Reservations required.
$60/person ($55/member)
