Dave is a great uplifting story of how a young, motivated man (Adam) puts his dreams on hold to help a troubled youth (Dave) find himself. As one watches the film, you can see not only how Dave grows and lets his personality shine with the help of Adam, but how Adam grows with the help of Dave. The truly uplifting part of the movie is how Adam learns that there is more in life than just a chance to grow his own career as a college basketball coach. Adam finds that helping young men fulfill their potential allows him to find his true calling in life–working with high school youth. In my opinion the film should be called Adam due to the fact that many young men who do not have a father figure will take to any positive male figure. Finding an adult to help young men such as Dave is much harder to find.
