Victorians loved the tradition of afternoon tea, and the experience today is richer when the tea is served in the Victorian rooms of the Morris-Butler House at Christmas time. The menu features authentic recipes prepared by British-born Tina Jesson of Tina’s Traditional Old English Kitchen and gourmet teas from Tea’s Me Café.
Don’t eat lunch before you come or you won’t have room for lemon drop fairy cakes, English Cucumber and Cream Cheese Tea Sandwiches, Sausage Rolls with Grandmas Green Tomato Chutney, and a selection of scones with Devonshire clotted cream.
The holiday tea costs $30 per person (discount for Indiana Landmarks members). Reservations are required; tickets available at http://holidayteas.eventbrite.
