Progress begins in conversations. That’s why the Central Indiana Land Trust is hosting Jerod Chew of the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service for a July 18 talk on the importance of soil health.
As world population and food production demands rise, keeping our soil healthy and productive is of paramount importance. Improving the health of our nation’s soil is one of the most important endeavors of our time. Through experiments and discussion we will “dig” into this topic and discuss how this conservation focus can help our nation’s farmers feed the world more profitably and sustainably – now and for generations to come.
The evening is part of the Land Trust’s speaker series designed to spark new ideas and update the public on current conservation initiatives. The Land Trust conserves and protects natural areas Hoosiers hold dear.
