When looking for fun summer entertainment with the family, a minor league football game might be the best deal in town. On Saturday, June 13th, 2015, the Indianapolis Tornados (2-1) minor league football team will host the Cincinnati Hawks (1-0) at Arsenal Tech High School. Kick off begins at 6:00 PM.
Twister, the Indianapolis Tornados’ mascot, will be hosting a children’s superhero costume contest as the Tornados celebrate “Super Hero Night”. The contest will begin at halftime when all children dressed in costume will compete in a “Best Costume” separated into three age groups: 7 and under, 8-12, and 13 and above. The first 50 contestants will receive a free comic book courtesy of Downtown Comics while the winners of each age group will win prizes from either Latitude 360 or Texas Roadhouse. Fans will also have an opportunity to meet local celebrity, Karen E. Laine, of HGTV’s newest DIY show, “Two Chicks and a Hammer”.
“We are excited about the variety of entertainment we offer to families in the area” observed Director of Operations, David Seiter. “With the bounce house, special guests and celebrities, fan interactions with players and cheerleaders, great concessions, and a football game between two talented teams, there is literally something to appeal to everyone!”
The Indianapolis Tornados offer fun, affordable, family-friendly football entertainment throughout the summer. The price of admission is $10 while kids aged 12 and under get in free.
