Local and state law enforcement agencies, in cooperation with the Marion County Traffic Safety Partnership, will conduct DUI roving patrols/checkpoints during July 2015. The project DUI: Taskforce Indiana, is made possible through a grant received from the Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving and is a year-long statewide project aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes.
The first DUI Sobriety Checkpoint is scheduled for Friday, July 3rd, 2015 in Marion County from 10:00 pm – 4:00 am. The Marion County Traffic Safety Partnership, Indiana State Police, and the Speedway, Cumberland, Lawrence, Beech Grove, and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departments, will be working the checkpoints.
