The family of the decedent has identified the male as 26 year-old, Ryan Gallet. Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Gallet’s death. On Sunday July 12, 2015 at approximately 7:47 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were sent to the 3300 block of North Barnes Avenue on a report of a body in a wooded area. When officers arrived they found an unidentified, deceased male victim suffering from trauma to his upper body. IMPD Homicide detectives were requested to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding this death. At this time, the decedent’s identity is unknown to the detectives or Coroner’s Office.
Homicide detectives are requesting the public’s assistance with potential identification of this victim. The victim was a white male in his 20’s with an approximate height of 5’7” and weighing approximately 150 pounds. The victim had short brown hair with a mustache and goatee. The victim was also wearing glasses and a black t-shirt with the words “Breaking Benjamin” with a distinct emblem (see attached example) in the middle of the shirt. The victim was wearing blue jeans with white Puma athletic shoes.
