Earlier today, IMPD detectives were informed that Sir Christopher Lee Jones was arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol on Friday. The suspect is being held in Kansas on a murder warrant awaiting extradition back to Indianapolis. A previous booking photo is not available due to a continuation of the investigation by detectives.

Homicide detectives need assistance in locating Sir Christopher Lee Jones described as a black male, in his 20’s, 200lbs., thick shoulder length dreads.
Mr. Jones is wanted in connection with the murder of Lakim ‘Devon’ Mabry. If you know his whereabouts call 911 immediately. He is considered armed and dangerous.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were sent to the 3600 block of North Gale Street on a report of shots fired run. While enroute 9-1-1 dispatchers subsequently informed officers that 9-1-1 callers were saying a person had been shot.
When officers arrived they found an unresponsive male victim suffering from apparent signs of gunshot trauma. EMS personnel pronounced the victim as deceased at the scene. No name or age are available as of this release because the victim has not yet been positively identified. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will positively identify the victim and notify family at which time the victim’s name will become available.
The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency is processing the scene for forensic evidence, and detectives are canvassing the area for information. Detectives have not yet released any suspect information. The 3600 block of Gale Street is included in the Department of Public Safety Focus Area, specifically, 38th and Sherman corridor.
