Detectives arrested 34-year-old Benjamin Faulk for the murder of 25-year-old Jamie Hines on Thursday, July 2nd in the 800 blk. of Udell St.
The suspect turned himself into detectives on Monday, July 6th at IMPD Headquarters without incident. After being questioned by detectives the suspect was arrested on a warrant charging him with Murder. The suspect is currently being held in the Marion County Jail.

The victim has been positively identified as Jamie Hines, 25, of Indianapolis. The investigation is on-going and investigators continue to follow-up on leads in this incident. On July 2, 2015 at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) received a call a person stabbed in the 800 block of Udell Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from stab wounds in his stomach and neck. The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital but died a short time later.
At this time, IMPD Homicide investigators are currently conducting their investigation and interviewing witnesses. Investigators believe the suspect and victim had an argument inside of a residence, which led to the stabbing. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency arrived to process the crime scene and gather forensic evidence. The victim’s identity is not being released pending positive identification and family notifications. More information will be released once investigators have an opportunity to conclude their investigation at the crime scene.
