A one vehicle crash early this morning has claimed the life of the driver.
Early this morning at approximately 3:40 a.m., Indiana State Police troopers were dispatched to I-70 WB at the 86mm to the report of a single vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation and witness statements revealed that a 2000 Pontiac was WB on I-70 at the 86mm and for unknown reason went off the right side of the roadway, down the embankment and caught fire.
The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
The name of the deceased will be released when positive identification has been made and the family notified.
