There will be more than birds singing this summer at the Indianapolis Zoo as two popular concert series return to offer nine nights of music, food and wild fun.
The Zoolapalooza and Animals and All That Jazz series, both presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers, will feature a diverse lineup of musical performers, including many acts that are new to Zoo concert crowds as well as a few returning fan favorites.
Guests start their weekend on a high note with Zoolapalooza. Now in its sixth year, this concert series will feature some of the area’s top bands playing a mix of classic favorites through today’s popular hits. The music will be rockin’ each Friday night from June 17 to July 8.
The 2016 Zoolapalooza lineup will feature:
- June 17: Airstream Betty
- June 24: Tim Brickley and the List
- July 1: Dave & Rae
- July 8: Parrots of the Caribbean
As the summer heats up, visitors can keep it cool with Animals and All That Jazz. One of the Zoo’s longest-running events, this concert series will showcase a full range of distinctive artists, acts and musical stylings. Now in its 29thseason, Animals and All That Jazz kicks off July 7 and continues every Thursday through Aug. 4.

For all concerts, live music will play from 5:30 to 8:30pm in the Party Pavilion near the front of the Zoo. Rides and animals will be available until 7pm, and with plenty of exhibits nearby, visitors can enjoy the full Zoo experience without missing a beat. In addition to regular Zoo fare, each concert will also feature a different menu of specialty food items and a full bar.
