Frank Duncan has been chosen to represent the Indianapolis Indians at the 2016 Sonic Automotive Triple-A All-Star Game presented by Gildan in Charlotte, N.C.
Tyler Glasnow and Josh Bell were selected to represent the Tribe on June 29, but will not participate due to their recent promotions to the major leagues.
Duncan is on his second stint with the Indians this season after first reaching Triple-A on May 10. He is 5-4 with a 2.56 ERA in 10 starts for the Tribe, including a 4-1 mark with a 1.76 ERA in five June outings. The right-hander is a perfect 3-0 with only six earned runs allowed in 23.1 innings on the road.
The former Kansas Jayhawk is among the most active participants in the Pirates’ community service program, well-exceeding the 10-hour standard with more than 40 hours spent serving the Indianapolis community.
The game will be broadcast live on MLB Network, American Forces Network, MiLB.TV and the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network beginning at 7 p.m. ET on July 13th.
