Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) homicide detectives announce charges in reference to a domestic violence shooting on the city’s North side.
On July 11th, 2016, officers responded to a shooting in the 7300 blk of N Keystone Ave. Senitra Evans was shot multiple times by her estranged husband, Robert Evans at a bankruptcy law office. Robert Evans fled the area prior to police arrival but was apprehended about 1 mile from the original crime scene without incident. Mr. Evans gave Detectives a full confession. Senitra Evans sustained multiple life threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. She remains in critical condition at an area Hospital.
The Marion County Prosecutors Office filed the following charges:
Attempted Murder – Level 1 Felony
Carrying a Handgun without a License – A Misdemeanor
