The Indiana Repertory Theatre’s (IRT) Board of Directors have announced Suzanne Sweeney’s promotion to Managing Director and co-CEO. She will lead the theatre alongside Executive Artistic Director and co-CEO, Janet Allen. Previously responsible for improving the administrative operations of the theatre from an internal standpoint, Sweeney will now take a more active focus on external relationships.
“I’m very excited about continuing to build current relationships as well as to develop new ones. I am so proud of the work we do and I have seen how it can make a real difference in people’s lives,” said Sweeney.
Allen and Sweeney have announced a series of additional promotions including Jennifer Turner, formerly Associate Director of Development, who now leads a team of three as the Director of Development. Her new role oversees the development program, annual fund and special campaigns.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead a development program working with individuals, foundations and corporate partners to continue our rich tradition of serving people throughout their lifetime with top quality professional theatre,” said Turner.
Other promotions within the development department include Lindsey Horan, formerly Individual Gifts Officer, has been named the Associate Director of Major Gifts while Elisabeth Lesem, formerly the Foundations Officer, has been named the Institutional Giving Manager.
IRT’s marketing department welcomes new Audience Development Manager Elizabeth Petermann, a former Strategy Supervisor at OMD.
