Renaissance, a leading ancillary insurance carrier of customizable dental, vision, life and disability plans, announced workforce expansion plans affecting 150-plus jobs by year’s end.
The hiring initiative creates 82 new openings, comprised of 22 leadership positions and 60 customer service representative positions. The company also will convert another 70 temporary staff to full-time positions.
The expanded workforce will be housed at two Indianapolis locations, including a new office in Southport. The expansion reflects the company’s increasing national footprint at a time when American consumers are placing more value than ever in staying healthy and saving money on health care costs.
“This expansion is yet another indicator of the sustained, long-term investment we are making to assure that we can meet the increasing demand for ancillary insurance coverage,” Renaissance President Robert Mulligan said.
The hiring splurge more than doubles the Renaissance workforce and coincides with the launch of a new line of Medicare Supplement plans, starting with Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.
Renaissance also is expanding on state insurance exchanges in Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Mississippi, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin and Indiana. Additionally, the company recently opened new group sales offices in Texas and Nevada and continues to see tremendous growth with the group business segment.
“We continually seek to provide a work environment that engages each individual, while encouraging growth and professional development,” Mulligan said. “It’s an exciting time for us as a company to see such positive growth and investment in our workforce.”
