An Indianapolis man is under arrest after a robbery investigation by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Northeast District.
On Mon., Jan. 23 at 2 pm officers were called to the 3200 block of West 86th St reference a business robbery. Officers were informed the alleged suspect was armed. The victim was able to provide a detailed description of the man. A short time later, officers detained two possible suspects in a vehicle in the 4100 block of Patricia Street.
The victim was able to identify one of the two men as the person who allegedly robbed the business at gunpoint. Jerry Rowell, 26, was arrested and transported to the IMPD Robbery Office. The other man was released. Located in the vehicle was a large amount of cash and a 40 caliber handgun with a 30 round magazine.
Rowell is preliminarily charged with Robbery. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.
