Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar is opening its 38th location – and it’s third in the greater Indianapolis region – on Wednesday, January 25. To celebrate the opening of its newest location, the restaurant and bar is demonstrating its commitment to the Indianapolis community by supporting former Colts’ lineman Ryan Diem’s Allie and Friends Foundation, which supports initiatives to battle pediatric cancer.
The new restaurant – located at 5221 Noggle Way, Indianapolis, IN, 46237 – will open for business at 3PM on January 25. After two days opening at 3PM, the location will begin its normal hours and open at 11AM for lunch.
“Indianapolis is becoming a second-home for us,” said David Head, Primanti Bros. CEO. “We couldn’t be more excited to continue to grow here and plant roots within the neighborhood and build relationships within the community. And we’re excited to start that as a fundraising partner with Ryan Diem and the Allie and Friends Foundation.”
Since 1933, Primanti Bros. has been a dining institution in Pittsburgh. The “Almost Famous” Primanti Bros. sandwich is built between two slices of soft Italian bread. It’s piled high with a choice of grilled meat, an optional egg, secret recipe sweet-and-sour slaw, fresh-cut fries and two tomato slices.
“If you’ve not been to a Primanti Bros. – we don’t take ourselves too seriously,” said Head. “We’ve got big, two-handed sandwiches, a full menu of burgers, pizza and wings and a stocked bar with some of the best specials around. Honestly, it’s about good, simple food a great value and a great time.”
Daily specials include Moscow Mules, craft beers and even half-off ALL drinks on Wednesdays. The restaurant also features a late-night $5 menu that begins at 9PM.
Unlike the restaurant’s original location, the Primanti Bros. outside of Greenwood will open as a full-service restaurant with a large bar, many televisions and have an indoor/outdoor patio. Primanti Bros. other locations in the region, in Noblesville and downtown near Circle Centre Mall, both opened in 2016.
“Get ready, Indy – the bros are in town!” said Head.
