Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) North District Narcotics detectives execute a search warrant that nets three arrests, narcotics, guns, and cash.
On Jan. 27, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Narcotic detectives, along with North Flex team served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 3400 block of N. Grant Avenue. IMPD SWAT made a dynamic forced entry into the home and took three males into custody. The target of the investigation and one of the subjects detained was identified as 43-year-old Marlon Eaves, 46-year-old Deven Brown, and 56-year-old Deno Hawkins.
Detectives searched the home and seized:
- 20 grams of powder and crack cocaine (half an ounce)
- 15 grams of high-grade marijuana
- Xanax pills
- Three handguns
- A handgun conversion kit (handgun to short barrel rifle)
- Cocaine manufacturing paraphernalia
- $14,324 in cash
Marlon Eaves and Deven Brown were both arrested for charges including Dealing in Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Deno Hawkins was arrested on drug possession charges. Based on the investigation the cash was seized for possible forfeiture proceedings by the MCPO. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office transported all three men to the Arrestee Processing Center. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.
