Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 Troopers from the Indiana State Police assisted the U.S. Marshals Service with the execution of an arrest warrant at 1817 Ashbury Street in Indianapolis. The target of the warrant, 34-year-old Cory Critchfield of Indianapolis, was located at the residence and arrested for violation of probation. During the course of the warrant service, a large amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia was located in plain view inside the residence. Investigators believe the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to 19-year-old Jacob Skaggs of Indianapolis. Police found nearly 130 grams of marijuana, 195 Xanax pills and a substantial amount of drug paraphernalia used to introduce narcotics into the body.
Critchfield and Skaggs were arrested and transported to the Marion County Adult Processing Center. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and determine actual charges. All suspects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
