Detectives continue to investigate after police find a man seriously wounded on the city’s northeast side.
Just after 1:30 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were sent to the alley west of the 3900 block of Butler Avenue reference a person shot. Officers quickly arrived and found an older teenage male suffering from several gunshot wounds. EMS crews transported the victim to the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical but stable condition.
Detectives have learned that the victim and a friend were walking down the street in the 3900 block of Grand Avenue when a black vehicle, unknown further description, stopped and the driver exited and started shooting at the victim and his friend. The suspect is seen getting back inside the car and leaving the area. Detectives continue to canvasses the area for additional information but have not yet released any other suspect information.
