Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating after a man dies from an apparent gunshot wound sustained on March 29, 2017.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on March 29, 2017, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to the 4600 block of East Pleasant Run Parkway on reports of a person shot. Responding officers located a 21-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to Eskenazi Hospital where, despite the best life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries a day later.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began investigating. Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting possible forensic evidence. The name of the victim may be obtained through the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
