Just in time for college basketball’s signature event, Pizza Hut, the Official Pizza of the NCAA, March Madness and the Final Four® has taken its digital ordering experience to the next level with Pizza Hut Pie Tops, a custom-designed, first-of-its-kind basketball shoe that can order pizza for delivery at the press of a button on the shoe’s tongue.
For real.
“It’s always important that we make it easy for fans to order the Pizza Hut pizza they love without missing a moment of the March Madness action,” said David Daniels, Vice President, Media & Advertising, Pizza Hut. “We know pizza is a fan favorite during the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, and our special-edition Pie Tops are a culturally-timed creative expression of our commitment to providing the easiest pizza ordering and delivery experience possible.”

The Pizza Hut Pie Tops are equipped with Bluetooth communication via a smart button inside the shoe tongue. The button connects the actual Pie Tops shoes to the user’s phone and the Pie Tops app, allowing the user to press the button and instantly submit a pizza order.
To showcase how easy pizza ordering and delivery is at Pizza Hut, the brand enlisted basketball great and March Madness legend Grant Hill to star in its latest TV campaign. In the creative, Hill demonstrates that success on the basketball court takes hard work, but ordering pizza is easy as pie.

Pizza Hut is making easy pizza delivery the game plan for fans everywhere throughout the March Madness tournament with a slam dunk deal. Pizza lovers can get a large two-topping pizza online for just $7.99 or any specialty for just $3 more. Deal does not apply to other menu items, tax, delivery charge, or driver tip.
Unfortunately, Pie Tops are not generally available to the public.
Pizza Hut offers a variety of ways to make digital ordering easier, including a re-order button, the option to choose from the most popular pizzas menu and social sign in for PizzaHut.com accounts. More information is available at www.PizzaHutAllAccess.com.
