Scott reportedly went overboard from the ninth deck of the cruise ship at approximately 5 a.m. The cruise ship launched a search and contacted watch standers at the Seventh Coast Guard District Command Center.
The watch standers directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 helicopter crew deployed to Great Inaguas, Bahamas, and diverted the Coast Guard Cutter Charles David Jr. to search. The cruise ship continues to search on scene along with two other vessels.
