Wayne County – Last evening around 8:50 p.m. Trooper J.T. Burns was westbound on Pottershop Rd., just east of the town of Abington, when he noticed the car in front of him didn’t slow down when they entered a posted 40 M.P.H. speed limit. Burns stopped the car as it entered Abington.
After speaking with the driver, Chastity Pitcher, age 43 of Connersville, Burns became suspicious. Trooper Steven Tipton was nearby and came to assist Burns. Chastity Pitcher was found to be driving while suspended, and further investigation turned up suspected Methamphetamine and Marijuana in the vehicle.
The troopers arrested Pitcher, along with passengers Ted Durham, age 46 of Connersville, Randy Jackson, age 46 of Connersville and Khylier Javon Childress-Shelby, age 20 also of Connersville, charging them with Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Marijuana, a misdemeanor. All four were lodged in the Wayne County Jail.
