TRIBE NOTES
ONE BRIGHT SPOT: Christopher Bostick has hit safely in each of his last 11 games. He’s batting .364 (16-for-44) during the stretch with five doubles, a home run, six RBI and six runs scored. His career-high hitting streak is 16 games, a stretch that ran from June 15-July 4, 2013 while he was with Single-A Beloit in the Athletics farm system. Last year, Alen Hanson and Josh Bell both notched team-best 14-game hitting streaks.
THREE BAGS: For the first time in 2017, the Indians totaled two triples in a single game. Last night, Erich Weiss and Eury Perez both tripled in the second inning to give Indy its second run of the game.
EURY’S ELEMENT: Over the last two days, Eury Perez has made himself at home on the road, going 3-for-5 with a triple, RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in his two starts. His biggest asset is his speed, both on the basepaths and covering ground in center field. Over the last eight seasons, he has stolen 20-plus bases each campaign.
NO LOVE FOR LINDBLOM: Tonight’s starter, Josh Lindblom, has made four appearances (three starts) this year for Indy, going 0-2 with a 2.65 ERA (5 ER in 17.0 IP). The Indians have scored just two runs when Lindblom is on the mound and are 0-3 in games he has started.
