INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives make an arrest in the shooting death of 28-year-old Maurice Martinez that occurred on April 29, 2017.
On May 19, 2017, Homicide Detectives filed for an arrest warrant on 27-year-old Briana Wilson for murder. Briana Wilson was later located and arrested on the warrant. She was later transported to the Arrestee Processing Center for booking.

INDIANAPOLIS- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s southeast side.
Just before 4:00 a.m., on 4.29.17 officers with IMPD were dispatched to the 1700 block of Portage Court reference a person shot. When officers arrived they located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers called for the assistance of Indianapolis EMS personnel who responded to the scene and transported the male to Eskenazi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded and began investigating the case. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting possible forensic evidence. At this time, detectives believe this shooting resulted from a disturbance, the other two occupants of the residence were transported to the Homicide Office for questioning. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will make identification after next of kin has been notified.
