Just before 11:00 p.m., on April 30, 2017, officers with IMPD were dispatched to the intersection of W. 32nd St/Clifton St. reference a person shot. When officers arrived they located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers called for the assistance of Indianapolis EMS personnel who responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, then transported the male to Methodist Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded and began investigating the case. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting possible forensic evidence. At this time, detectives are trying to gather information on what caused this fatal shooting. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will make identification after next of kin has been notified.
