Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found shot on the city’s north side.
On 4.28.17 at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers with IMPD were dispatched to the intersection of E. 32nd Street and North Tacoma Avenue reference a man down. When officers arrived they observed medical personal attempting life saving measures. The male was transported to Methodist Hospital where they noticed that the male had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded and began investigating and canvassing the area for possible witnesses. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting possible forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will make identification after next of kin has been notified.
