INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Robbery Coordination Unit detectives, along with FBI Special Agents, execute a search warrant that leads to the confiscation of numerous narcotics, substantial amount of cash, and three arrests.
On May 29, 2017, detectives with the Robbery Coordination Unit and FBI Special Agents move used tried and true investigative techniques to move in on a wanted suspect that was connected with the “MOB” responsible for numerous pharmacy robberies in Marion County. The target, 18-year-old Julius Willis, had a federal arrest warrant stemming from charges of the “MOB” takedown on May 23, 2017.
During Willis’ arrest, detectives noticed a strong odor of suspected marijuana coming from the apartment. A search warrant was obtained and executed by detectives. Detectives detained 18-year-old Robert Dew and 18-year-old Oktober Robinson. A search by detectives and agents recovered 8 semiautomatic handguns of different calibers. An AK47 and AR15 rifle were also recovered. Out of the 10 recovered firearms, 4 of them were listed as stolen. Approximately $16k and an undisclosed amount of cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, pills, and marijuana was also recovered.
Robert Dew and Oktober Robinson were arrested on various gun and narcotics charges. Julius Willis was arrested on a federal warrant. All three were later transported to the Arrestee Processing Center for booking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will be reviewing the case for filing of federal narcotic and gun charges.
