Accessibility in Business – Indiana Conference for Women Interactive Webcast

The Indiana Conference for Women will host an interactive webcast focusing on accessibility practices and the importance of inclusion for all on Thursday, May 13 at 6 p.m. 

Heather Pickering, founder and artistic director of Flutter Productions, will moderate the 

discussion centered around the necessity of accessibility practices in business. 

The distinguished panelists are advocates for inclusion including:

• Amy Duarte, member of deaf community who is an illustrator and graphic designer
• Juli Paini, labor and employee relations specialist with Defense Finance and Accounting Service at Department of Defense
• Kathy Nimmer, member of the blind community who is an author and award-winning educator 
• Laura Alvarado, executive director of the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation. 

The Indiana Conference for Women rescheduled its 10th annual conference to

Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 and continues to host webcasts and other events throughout

the year.
