This citrusy summer cocktail was made just for Indianapolis based on trend data from Foursquare, social media and Cocktail Lab to give locals the fastest way to a good time. To make it a clear winner for Indianapolis, it incorporates lime juice and Patrón Citrónge Orange, sparkling wine, and the agave syrup found in the margarita mix of a Refined Janet Gunthrie – a cocktail made to commemorate the first time a woman qualified to race in the Indy 500.
- 1.5 oz Patrón Silver
- .5 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
- .5 oz Lime Juice
- .5 oz Agave syrup (1:1)
- + Top with Champagne
- Add all ingredients except Champagne to a mixing glass.
- Add ice and shake.
- Strain over fresh ice into a white wine glass.
- Top with 2-4 oz Champagne and garnish with a lime wheel.
If you’re headed to the Taste of Indy event this weekend, you will be able to taste the Victory Lap Margarita (and others) for yourself! If you do, please let us know your thoughts!
