Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace begins today and runs through Jan. 31, 2017. Covering Kids and Families of Central Indiana has free resources available from certified marketplace navigators to help individuals and families determine their eligibility for health insurance through the Marketplace and assist with enrollment.
Navigators at Covering Kids and Families are also certified to help with enrollment into Hoosier Healthwise, Advantage, and Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) 2.0, as well as Medicaid plans with CareSource, Anthem, MDWise, and Managed Health Services (MHS). These plans are available year-round.
“Our goal is make sure that families who need insurance can find a plan that is affordable and offers access to care,” said Pamela Humes, director of Covering Kids and Families of Central Indiana. “We want to make sure kids and adults get the proper medical care so that they can live healthy lives.”
Free enrollment help from Covering Kids and Families of Central is available Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.-5 pm at it offices, 2951 E. 38th St. in Indianapolis. Covering Kids and Families of Indiana is a statewide program operated in Central Indiana by the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County.
