Katherine Legge is gearing up for a historic weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and her primary sponsor is expanding its footprint at the track to match the momentum.
Legge, who recently locked in a career-best Indy 500 starting position of 26th on the grid, will pilot the No. 11 e.l.f. Cosmetics Chevrolet for HMD Motorsports with A.J. Foyt Racing. As the lone female driver in the 33-car field for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500, Legge’s entry carries a deep historical connection tracing back 50 years to when Janet Guthrie tested a backup car for A.J. Foyt to prove women belonged on the brickyard grid.
This year, Legge is also attempting the legendary “Double”-racing all 500 miles at Indy before flying to Charlotte to compete in NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.
To mark the milestone, e.l.f. Cosmetics has announced an expanded official partnership with IMS. For fans heading to the track for Carb Day or race weekend, the brand is setting up an immersive “glam garage” inside the IMS Fan Zone.
What to Expect at the IMS Fan Zone Activation
- Career Artifacts: A museum-style storytelling wall showcasing artifacts from Legge’s racing career, including early karting trophies and race suits.
- Fan Interaction: A “Kiss the Bricks” wall where fans can leave direct good-luck messages for Legge before Sunday’s green flag.
- Photo Ops: A full-scale replica of the No. 11 e.l.f. Cosmetics Chevrolet will be on display for fan photos.
- Trackside Essentials: Free SPF sun protection will be distributed to fans in the crowd throughout the weekend.
For fans following the action from home, the activation extends digitally with custom Snapchat lenses, including a virtual try-on of Legge’s fire suit and live behind-the-scenes streaming content on Twitch via the “elfyeah” channel over race weekend.
“e.l.f.’s commitment to motorsport, Katherine Legge, and fan activation engages fans in creative ways,” Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles said. “Their support of Katherine and their investment in creating meaningful experiences for fans both at the Speedway and digitally aligns perfectly with the energy surrounding this year’s race.”
