The popular Concerts on the Canal summer series returns to downtown Indianapolis with a spectacular lineup of entertainers. The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) invites guests to the 2023 Concerts on the Canal season along with Free Admission Thursdays, June 1 through July 27.
All Concerts on the Canal performances are from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert may be delayed or moved indoors to the Frank and Katrina Basile Theatre.
The Stardust Terrace Café and cash bar — all operated by Jonathan Byrd’s — open at 5 p.m. Guests may bring their own food and nonalcoholic beverages to the concerts. All alcohol must be purchased and consumed on site.
2023 Concerts on the Canal Tables
Guests can purchase seating on the History Center’s Kruse Family Stardust Terrace in tables of eight ($90/$70 IHS members) or tables of four ($65/$45 IHS members). Full-season packages are available. Event reservations are valid for the date and/or event of issue; no rain checks will be permitted. Pets and smoking are not allowed on the Terrace. No seating will be permitted along the History Center entryways or the Terrace stairways. Free seating may be available outside the Terrace in the grassy area on the Canal Walk.
2023 Concerts on the Canal Parking
Free parking at the History Center is on a first-come basis. Nearby street or garage parking is available for a fee. The 2023 Concerts on the Canal series is presented by OneAmerica.

2023 Concerts on the Canal Volunteers
In addition, volunteers are needed for Concerts on the Canal from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. to assist with concert setup and tear down and to answer basic visitor questions. Anyone interested should call (317) 233-3902 or contact volunteers@indianahistory.org.
