Get ready for an action-packed day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (ad) (IMS) as Legends Day Presented by Firestone kicks off on Saturday, May 24, 2025, for the 109th Indianapolis 500 (ad) presented by Gainbridge. This fan-favorite event offers exclusive access to drivers, autograph sessions, and the iconic Public Drivers’ Meeting. Whether you’re a die-hard IndyCar fan or a first-time visitor, this guide covers everything you need to know to make the most of Legends Day 2025.

Legends Day 2025 Schedule

Mark your calendars for these key activities (all times local):

  • 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Public gates open for an exciting day at IMS.
  • 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.: 2025 Indianapolis 500 Drivers’ Autograph Session at Pagoda Plaza.
  • 10:30 a.m.: Public Drivers’ Meeting on Pit Lane in front of Tower Terrace.
  • Noon – 1 p.m.: Former Indianapolis 500 Drivers’ Autograph Session at North Chalet.
  • 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Second Former Indianapolis 500 Drivers’ Autograph Session at North Chalet.

Tickets and Admission

General Admission tickets for Legends Day are priced at just $20, with free entry for children 15 and under accompanied by a paying adult. Your ticket grants access to the IMS infield viewing mounds and first-come, first-served seating for the Public Drivers’ Meeting in select grandstands. Don’t miss this affordable way to experience the Indy 500 (ad) atmosphere!

Public Gates and Parking

Gates open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following entrances:

  • Gate 2
  • Gate 4
  • Gate 6S
  • Gate 7V
  • Gate 7S
  • Gate 10
  • Gate 10A

Parking Options:

  • Free Parking: Available at 5th & Hulman and N Lot.
  • Paid Daily Parking: Available in Lot 2.
  • Pre-Paid Parking: Available in Lot 1B, Lot 2, Lot 3P, and Main Gate.
  • ADA Accessible Parking: Free in West Museum Lot and Tower Terrace; paid daily and pre-paid options in Lot 2 and Lot 3P.

Cashless Operations at IMS

IMS is a cashless facility, so bring your debit or credit card for seamless transactions. Tap-to-pay phone payments are accepted, and Cash-to-Card machines are available at the IMS Museum, Pagoda Plaza, and near Turn 1 by concessions stand 7. These machines convert cash into a temporary debit card, usable inside and outside the venue or anywhere Mastercard/Visa debit cards are accepted.

The IMS Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Legends Day. While advance tickets are sold out, limited walk-in tickets are available, though wait times may apply.
