Hot dog fans, get ready for a sizzling spectacle! Oscar Mayer is bringing its iconic fleet of six Wienermobiles to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (ad) for the first-ever Wienie 500 on Friday, May 23, 2025. This one-of-a-kind race, streamed live at 2 p.m. ET on the FOX Sports app and @INDYCARonFOX social accounts, will see the Wienermobiles compete on the same track as the pros, just ahead of the 109th Indianapolis 500 (ad). Highlights will air during the Indy 500 (ad) pre-race show on FOX.
For the first time in over a decade, all six Wienermobiles will “meat up,” each representing a regional hot dog style: Chi Dog (Midwest), New York Dog (East), Slaw Dog (Southeast), Sonoran Dog (Southwest), Chili Dog (South), and Seattle Dog (Northwest). With custom Hotdogger racing suits, a trophy presentation in the “Wiener’s Circle,” and a condiment spray celebration, the Wienie 500 promises to deliver smiles and summer fun.
“The Indy 500 kicks off hot dog season, and we’re thrilled to bring the Wienie 500 to the Speedway,” said Kelsey Rice, brand communications director at Oscar Mayer. “This race celebrates delicious meats and friendly competition in true Oscar Mayer style.”
Fans can join the action through a free-to-play pool on DraftKings at Draftkings.com/wienie500. Predict race outcomes for a chance to win a share of a $10,000 cash prize. As the “Official Hot Dog” of the Indianapolis 500 and IMS, Oscar Mayer is set to make this summer unforgettable.
