Indy DPW Crews Pre-treating Bridges and Overpasses Ahead of Snow

Indy DPW/AFSCME Local #725 snow crews have returned to 12-hour shifts today, December 10th, to prepare for winter weather.

Crews are currently on the roadways pre-treating with an emphasis on bridges and overpasses ahead of the afternoon and evening drive times. Indianapolis Fleet Services (AFSCME Local #3131) is running mirrored shifts to ensure the fleet remains operational.

• Drive with Caution: Please practice safe driving habits and exercise caution when winter weather hits, and even after the snowfall has ended.
• Residential Responsibility: Residents are responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of their residence, business, or property, and the area around their mailboxes.
