If you are navigating the track grounds on Saturday, here is the complete operational schedule, ticket breakdown, and parking guide you need.

Official Legends Day Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. – Public Gates Open
  • 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – 2026 Indianapolis 500 Drivers’ Autograph Session (Pagoda Plaza)

  • 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Former Drivers’ Autograph Session (North Chalet)

Gate Admission and Ticket Prices

General Admission tickets for Legends Day are available for $20. A gate ticket grants first-come, first-served seating in select grandstands to view the annual Public Drivers’ Meeting, as well as full garage access to see the cars on pit road. Children 15 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

Public entry gates open for Saturday activity include Gate 2, Gate 4, Gate 6S, Gate 7, Gate 7S, Gate 10, and Gate 10A.

Track Parking Information

A mix of free, daily paid, and pre-paid parking lots are available across the speedway grounds:

  • Free Public Parking: Available at the 5th & Hulman Lot and the N Lot.
  • Free ADA Parking: Available in the West Museum Lot, Flag Lot, and Tower Terrace Lot.
  • Free Motorcycle Parking: Located in the South Carousel Lot.
  • Paid Daily Parking: Available at Lot 2 for $10 on a drive-up basis.
  • Pre-Paid Batches: Lots requiring advance permits include Lot 1B, Lot 2, Lot 3P, and the Main Gate lot.

Cashless Transactions and IMS Museum Access

Indianapolis Motor Speedway handles all trackside commerce on a completely cashless basis. Credit cards, debit cards, and smartphone tap-to-pay systems are required to buy tickets, entry credentials, concessions, parking, or team merchandise. For guests with paper currency, a Cash-to-Card machine is active in Pagoda Plaza to convert bills into temporary debit cards.

The IMS Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Separate museum tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors (55 and older), and $18 for military veterans. Fans must possess a valid Legends Day track admission ticket to enter the speedway grounds and visit the museum facility.
