Following Saturday’s rainout, the stage is set for a high-stakes Super Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On May 17, the field for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge will be decided in a condensed, action-packed afternoon of speed.

From the traditional morning practice to the high-tension Firestone Fast Six, Sunday offers fans a front-row seat to the most intense qualifying format in motorsports.

Sunday Track Schedule

Gates open at 9 a.m. for a day that transitions quickly from practice to knockout qualifying.

  • 9 a.m.: Public Gates Open
  • 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Practice (Two Groups)
  • 10:45 a.m.: Armed Forces Enlistment Ceremony (Pagoda Plaza)
  • Noon: Indianapolis 500 Qualifying (All Cars)
  • 3:15 p.m.: Monster Truck World Speed Record Attempt
  • 4:30 p.m.: Top 12 Qualifying
  • 6 p.m.: Firestone Fast Six Qualifying

Tickets and Admission Policies

General Admission tickets are $35. Because of the Saturday postponement, several special ticket policies are in effect:

  • Saturday Tickets: All tickets and paid parking passes from Saturday will be honored for Sunday admission.
  • Suites & Hospitality: Saturday suite and hospitality tickets grant General Admission access only on Sunday. Suite and hospitality parking passes from Saturday are not valid.
  • Military & Children: All military personnel receive free admission with a valid ID. Children 15 and under are also admitted free with a paying adult.

Parking and Logistics

While free options remain, please note the locations for paid and ADA-accessible parking:

  • Paid Parking ($15): Available in the Main Gate lot, Lot 2, and Lot 3P.
  • Free Parking: Public parking is free in the IMS Infield (Turn 3) and Lot 7 (North 40), accessible via Gate 10 from 30th Street.
  • ADA Parking: Free ADA parking is available in the West Museum, Flag, Tower Terrace, and Northwest Gravel lots. Pre-paid ADA parking is available at Gate 1 ($25) or Lot 2/3P ($15).

Cashless Venue & IMS Museum

IMS remains a cashless facility. Ensure you have a debit/credit card or mobile tap-to-pay ready for all purchases. For those with cash, a Cash-to-Card machine is available in Pagoda Plaza.

If you need a break from the heat, the IMS Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $18 for military. Please note that track gate admission is required to access the Museum.
