The Indianapolis Indians are set to light up Victory Field with their second homestand of the 2025 season, hosting the Toledo Mud Hens, Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, from April 15-20. This six-game series promises thrilling baseball and a packed promotional schedule that’s perfect for fans of all ages.

Series Overview

The Indians (5-7) take on the Mud Hens (4-11) in the first of two visits by Toledo to Victory Field this season (also July 22-27). The action kicks off Tuesday, April 15, at 6:05 PM ET and runs through Sunday, April 20.

Here’s a look at the probable starters:

  • April 15, 6:05 PM: Matt Manning (0-1, 6.97) vs. Braxton Ashcraft (1-2, 4.05)
  • April 16, 11:05 AM: Keider Montero (1-1, 2.79) vs. Carson Fulmer (1-0, 2.70)
  • April 17, 6:35 PM: Dietrich Enns (0-1, 2.84) vs. Thomas Harrington (0-0, 0.00)
  • April 18, 6:35 PM: Wilkel Hernandez (0-0, 5.40) vs. Mike Burrows (0-1, 3.48)
  • April 19, 6:35 PM: Lael Lockhart (0-2, 7.20) vs. Bubba Chandler (0-0, 1.69)

  • Tuesday, April 15 – Jackie Robinson Night: Honor the 79th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s historic MLB debut with a special commemoration.
  • Wednesday, April 16 – Baseball in Education: Victory Field transforms into central Indiana’s largest classroom for a midweek day game at 11:05 AM, presented by Citizens Energy Group, IU Indianapolis, and Lilly.
  • Thursday, April 17 – Bark in the Park: Bring your furry friends to catch home runs on the Toyota Lawn, presented by Pacifico, PetSuites, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Lawn tickets are $13 for humans and $7 for dogs.
  • Friday, April 18 – Tour T-Shirt Giveaway: The first 1,500 fans score a rescheduled Tour Schedule T-Shirt, presented by AAA Insurance.
  • Saturday, April 19 – Indy 500 (ad) Night: Celebrate with a Rowdie Racecar Bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,500 fans, presented by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (ad). Meet INDYCAR driver and 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi for autographs from 5:30-6:10 PM in the Center Field Plaza.
  • Sunday, April 20 – Easter Sunday Celebration: Kick off with a pregame egg hunt for kids 14 and under (arrive by 12:30 PM; waivers recommended for seamless entry).

Savor the Holy Toledo! Dog, topped with pulled pork, Tony Packo’s Pickles & Peppers, and shredded cheese, available at Links and Drinks carts behind Sections 105 and 120. Plus, when the Indians score five runs at home, fans can redeem five free Chick-fil-A nuggets by the next day (or Monday for weekend wins).

Team Highlights

The Indians are coming off a split series against the Louisville Bats, with standout Darick Hall (.412) and Liover Peguero (.429) leading the offense. On the mound, Bubba Chandler shines, ranking third in the International League for batting average against (.118) and seventh in WHIP (0.84). For the Mud Hens, Jace Jung stands out, ranking third in walks (13) and eighth in OPS (.989), while Keider Montero earned IL Pitcher of the Week honors with 5.2 perfect innings.
