The main event has arrived. Whether you’re here for the junior series or the 85-lap NTT INDYCAR SERIES showdown, here is the breakdown for Saturday, May 9, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Race Day Schedule
Gates open at 7:30 a.m., and the track stays busy all day leading up to the green flag.
- Morning Races:
- 8:00 a.m.: USF 2000 Race 2
- 8:55 a.m.: USF Pro 2000 Race 2
- Midday Prep:
- 11:40 a.m.: NTT INDYCAR SERIES Warm-Up
- 12:30 p.m.: USF 2000 Race 3
- 1:20 p.m.: USF Pro 2000 Race 3
- Afternoon Features:
- 2:36 p.m.: INDY NXT Race 2 (30 laps)
- 4:57 p.m.: NTT INDYCAR SERIES Sonsio Grand Prix (85 laps)
Tickets and Seating
- General Admission: $50 (Kids 15 and under are free with a paying adult).
- Flex Seating: $65 for access to areas like the Northwest/Southwest Vistas, Paddock, and Pit Road Terrace.
- Reserved Seats: Range from $67 to $150.
Parking Options
- Standard Paid: $20 in Lot 1A, Lot 2, Lot 3P, or the Main Gate.
- Premium & Motorcycles: $50 for the Gate 1 Lot. Motorcycle parking at the South Carousel Lot is $20.
- Free Parking: Available in Lot 7 (North 40). Access this via Gate 10 off 30th Street.
- ADA: Paid ADA spots ($20–$50) are available in several lots, including West Museum and Tower Suites. Free ADA parking is also located in Lot 7.
Know Before You Go
- Go Cashless: IMS is a cashless venue. Use your phone or card for everything from hot dogs to hats. If you have cash, visit the Cash-to-Card machine in Pagoda Plaza to load it onto a temporary debit card.
- Museum Hours: The IMS Museum is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to round out your race day experience.
