Sonsio Grand Prix: Race Day Track Guide (Revised)

Due to Friday’s rainout, the schedule for Saturday, May 9, has been adjusted to include the rescheduled NTT INDYCAR SERIES Qualifying. Here is the updated look at race day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Updated Race Day Schedule

The gates open at 7:30 a.m. Make sure to note the new time for qualifying.

  • Morning Action:
    • 8:00 a.m.: USF 2000 Race 2
    • 8:55 a.m.: USF Pro 2000 Race 1
    • 10:45 a.m.: NTT INDYCAR SERIES Qualifying (Rescheduled)
  • Midday Races:
    • 12:30 p.m.: USF 2000 Race 3
    • 1:20 p.m.: USF Pro 2000 Race 2
  • The Main Events:
    • 2:38 p.m.: INDY NXT Race 2 (35 laps)
    • 4:57 p.m.: NTT INDYCAR SERIES Sonsio Grand Prix (85 laps)

Tickets and Seating

  • General Admission: $50 (Kids 15 and under are free with a paying adult).
  • Flex Seating: $65 for access to the Northwest/Southwest Vistas, Paddock, and Pit Road Terrace.
  • Reserved Seats: $67–$150.

Parking

  • Standard Paid: $20 in Lot 1A, Lot 2, Lot 3P, or the Main Gate.
  • Premium & Motorcycles: $50 for Gate 1 Lot; $20 for the South Carousel motorcycle lot.
  • Free Parking: Available in Lot 7 (North 40). Access via Gate 10 off 30th Street.
  • ADA: Paid spots ($20–$50) are available in several lots. Free ADA parking is located in Lot 7.

Essential Info

  • Cashless Venue: IMS only accepts cards or tap-to-pay. A Cash-to-Card machine is located in Pagoda Plaza if you need to convert cash to a temporary debit card.
  • IMS Museum: Open 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ($25 for adults).
